GIIS Scholarship PROGRAMme 2019

GSF has a range of scholarships in the following categories to give a helping hand to our deserving students to excel in their chosen field.



On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Foundation has initiated a visionary scholarship that is aimed to provide financial assistance to deserving students from moderate income families to help them in their educational journey.



The scholarship recognises outstanding talents of students by providing a concession in course fees.




The scholarship is given to students excelling in each of the 9 GEMS of GIIS award-winning 9GEMS™ holistic framework of teaching and learning.

All our scholarships will be offered in three cycles every year. If you miss the deadline for any of these cycles, your application will be automatically forwarded to the next assessment cycle.

ENQUIRY FORM for Scholarships


  1. All Scholarships are applicable for the new Academic Year 2019-20.

  2. Income documents are mandatory for all the scholarships. Furnishing proof of income is necessary. In addition, a declaration is required from the recipient that the income proof submitted for family income are true and correct.

  3. In case of wrong and misleading information is provided, scholarship will be null and void. The scholarship amount given will need to be refunded to the school.

  4. For Scholarships that are valid for two academic years, the continuation of scholarship into the second year will be granted after the review of student performance.

  5. Scholarship winners will continue to pay term fees as per regular procedure. The scholarship amount for the term will be refunded to individual accounts upon completion of each term.

  6. In case a scholarship recipient leaves school in the middle of the term, the scholarship amount will not be granted for that term.

  7. Scholarship recipients can avail of only one scholarship or fee discount scheme at any given time.

  8. Younger siblings will be granted scholarships only in cases where the scholarship amount is more than the sibling discount.

  9. Scholarship recipients will be informed by email. Those accepting the given scholarship will have to sign an acceptance letter and submit to the school within 10 days of the formal grant of scholarship.

  10. Scholarship will be terminated if there is a violation of code of conduct by students.

  11. GIIS reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions at any time and the current version can be found on the GIIS website. Once an acceptance form has been signed, this confirms that you agree to these terms and conditions.

  12. GIIS Scholarship Committee’s decision is final for allocation of scholarships.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q-1: What scholarships can my child apply for?

Students can apply for any of the five scholarships existing under GIIS 2019 programme:

Parents are requested to assess each scholarship thoroughly and decide on any ONE scholarship which is best suited for their child/children.

Q-2: Can one student apply for two or more scholarships?

Parents are strongly advised to apply for only ONE scholarship which is best suited for their child.

Q-3: Where can parents avail students marks/percentage in case the report card shows only grades?

  • For students who are graded, conversion of the grades to marks/percentage will be done by the school internally. Parents are requested to upload report cards for students of Grade 1-5.

Q-4: Are students of Grade 11/IBDP year 1 eligible to apply for scholarships of two year duration?  

  • Yes, students of Class 11 can apply for scholarships. The scholarships will be valid till March/May 2020.

Q-5: Can students who are newly admitted to GIIS in 2018 apply for scholarships?

  • Applications for current GIIS students are now closed.

Q-6: What if the eligibility of salary of parents increased in the last two years? For instance, if 2017 salary was less than 100k per annum and 2018 salary is 160k per annum, will an average be considered?

  • Parents need to submit the latest Notice of Assessment from IRAS received in 2018 or submit their appointment letter, and their last financial statement from the previous country of residence.

Q-7: How can parents submit report card for scholarship if the cards are with the class teacher?

Q-8: Should parents upload report cards only for final exams or term cards?

  • Parents are requested to upload report cards for final examinations only (academic year 2016-17 and academic year 2017-18)

Q-9: I have recently relocated to Singapore and do not have IRAS notice of assessment. Please advise.

  • Parents who have only recently relocated to Singapore are requested to submit their appointment letter, and their last financial statement from the previous country of residence.

Q-10: What is the fee waiver on each of the scholarships?  

Q-11: Our child’s academic / annual report card for 2017 will have to be retrieved from overseas and will need some more time. Can we get more time to provide those details to us?
