In this digital world, students are known to be technology-savvy very early on in life. Their natural inclination towards and understanding of gadgets, applications and other digital tools makes them proficient in the subject at a young age. This scholarship recognises such talents in the digital space and encourage them.

Through this scholarship, GSF plans to recognise the outstanding talents of students by providing a concession in course fees.  

  • The scholarship is aimed for students who are residents of Singapore, across all grades.  

  • The scholarship is valid for a period of two academic years (April 2019 - Mar 2021).


Scholarship Benefits

Dr APJ Abdul Kalam NextGen Global Skills Scholarship aims to spot the scientific temperament in young minds at an early age, and encourage them to explore this side of their talent pool.

The Scholarship offers students recognition for outstanding talents in conducting new and unique scientific experiments, innovating tools, gadgets and makings apps for digital devices.

Eligibility and Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be currently residing in Singapore (PR/Dependant Pass/Student Pass Holders)

  • Have written a paper, thesis or published documents on topics related to digital space like Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Coding, App-making etc

  • Students who have invented or innovated a tool/gadget in digital space like  Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Coding, App-making etc

  • Provide proof of the paper, thesis, publication, tool, instrument, application etc

For non-GIIS students:

  • Applications open till June 24, 2019

  • Successful applicants will be notified via email

For GIIS students:

  • Applications open till June 24, 2019

Selection Process

Students will be assessed based on their academic records and family income records.

The scholarship will be valid for a period of two academic years (April 2019 - Mar 2021).
